I’m always inspired when I come across a double boiler — the possibilities always seem endless, and (for me, at least) they often involve chocolate…!
This is a particularly excellent Pyrex one. $70
Wonderful gooseneck lamp, likely late ’50s or early ’60s. $60
Awesome Wilcox silver-plated sugar & creamer!
I’m always enamored with the patina that develops on oxidized metal and I simply couldn’t bring myself to polish the entirety of this pair, but in the interest of keeping them food-safe I have given a thorough polishing & cleaning to the interiors and top lips.
You, of course, can polish these puppies to gleaming if you’re so inclined. $30
Bienvenue Dépanneur!
Some friends have *just* started the soft opening for their new gourmet deli on Wythe @ N 3rd. I had the privilege of checking it out pre-opening and was excited by what I saw — it looks like they’re going to have a great selection of cheeses, meats, and breads, as well as any number of indispensable items ranging from Kinder chocolates to Rösti packages to olive oils to impossible-to-find imported sodas to, perhaps most exciting for yours truly, cornichons!! And everything in-between. Not to mention a full coffee bar! I highly encourage EVERYONE to check it out.
Dépanneur: 242 Wythe @ South 3rd, 718-227-8424
Amazing crackling in the glaze of this sweet little flo blue creamer, $25
I love this arched wood framed mirror with lightly distressed glass. 26.5”W x 45”H. $300
Lovely brass lamp with ornate base, would look great as-is (without a shade) with simple Edison bulbs. Very well-crafted, signed on bottom. 23”H, $130
Back in stock: Edison Bulbs!!!
We’ve all been waiting on these for ages, and there are still quite a few filament configurations awaiting delivery in the (hopefully) very near future, but for now come’n’git yer Large filaments ($20) and Tube filaments ($9)
Wm. A. Rogers silver-plated 7-piece condiment caddy. I’ve polished and cleaned the lids & spoons but couldn’t bear to lose all the patina so the carrier retains its oxidation. $35
