As waterfront property owners, we’ve just received a packet from the US Army Corps of Engineers regarding the permit they’ve filed for the improvements to Transmitter Park (the Army part had me scratching my head, but I’ve just been assured by an architect that it’s perfectly normal as they’re responsible for maintaining all seawalls).
Needless to say I am very excited that the project is moving forward, and that it still looks like Transmitter Park will be one hell of park… Check out this proposed site plan (just one of many topographies and sections included in this packet) — looks like the Pod Pier is back on the table, and I couldn’t be happier!
